This week will be another chemo-free week for me, as the doctor postponed my chemotherapy after reviewing my blood test result today.
Blood Test Result on 11 May 09

My total white blood cell count is still not within the normal range, this is contributed by the low absolute amount of Neutrophil, whereas the absolute amount of Lymphocyte is already fully recovered back to the normal range.
From my understanding from this interesting article, the absolute amount of Neutrophil should be usually more than the Lymphocyte; Neutrophils are the primary defense against bacterial infections and Lymphocytes are the primary component of the immune system against viral infections. Here are another two easy-to-understand articles, How the Immune System Fights Disease and Understanding Cancer & The Immune System.
Even though the doctor said I'm not recovered enough for today's chemotherapy, he declared that I'm healthy enough to overcome viral infection, and it's safe for me to go crowded places like shopping centre. Yay!!! It's shopping time.
